JUST BE GORGEOUS

Very occasionally, OK for the first time, Colour Elements received some goods to review.  JustBe Botannicals offer skincare and "boudoir" (we're thinking scented candles and no more) items that smell amazing so we were slightly hesitant in assessing how effective they are as treatments.  We deeply wanted them to work but sometimes things that smell good, only smell good and do little else... We gave the task of testing these products to Karen who has a lifetime's passion  and experience of using skincare products that are both high-end and off the supermarket shelf.

The products that I used were:
*JustBe Hydrated Hydrating Serum and *JustBe Radiant Treatment Oil
Both of these treatment oils did exactly what they claim to do - I felt that my skin was screaming, "At last, some decent levels of moisture!" after I have used creams for the past few years that have never ventured past the very top layer of skin.

*JustBe Cleansed Cleansing Gel A fresh smelling gel that was regularly "borrowed" (no idea how it will be returned?) by the teenagers in the house.  Very easy to use in a pump dispenser and leaves skin feeling squeaky clean but no tightness that often accompanies squeaky skin.

*JustBe Cleansed Cleansing Balm I left the best til last! I haven't used a cleansing balm until now but was intrigued after reading Sali Hughes column in the Guardian about the benefits of these products.  I am now definitely a believer!  To call this a cleanser is such an understatement... A tiny amount of balm is all that is required.  It's lifted out of the jar with a spatula, gently applied to the face and removed with a muslin cloth.  I'm never sure whether to use moisturiser at night as Dr Hauschka claimed that this is a time when the skin regenerates and shouldn't have products applied that interfere with the process. However, I didn't feel that I needed any further products after using the JustBe Cleansing Balm and my skin still felt luxuriously smooth in the morning

As a lazy cleaner-of-skin I would like to have both cleansing products in my bathroom, as there are some nights when I don't have the gumption to open a jar and reach for a cloth - those are my pump dispenser nights.  But when I have the time and the desire the cleansing balm is such an amazing product that will be a forever-in-my-cabinet product.

If you have any forever-in-your-cabinet beauty products, please let the Colour Elements crew know and we will pass on the love to our readers.
